Had a great time! Met a lot of Knifemakers from "Bladeforums", nice to finally see who you have been talking to. Got to see Rob Frink's KMG-1 Grinder...VERY Nice Machine! Geeze, this is a GREAT Deal for any new maker or even the professional...:D

I had a great time there Sunday. Talking to all the NECKA members and recruiting more. I had to stay away from the Koval tables it was like a kid in a candy store. Rene thanks again for the maple. I have them in the soup. One I am trying a red and gold dyes on it.

George,
That sounds really cool. If they come out nice snap a pic so I can see them. I went over to koval's after you left and spent $$$ some more. I think you pick up the nicest piece of desert ironwood in the place, I really liked the flame pattern. I think NECKA is going to be something special. Thank you for brainstorming this whole thing.
:D

It was great to meet you guys and I look forward to continuing my assoc. with NCCA and joining the new club forming. I have to thank Rene for the maple and Indian George. I used the method you mentioned last night and they have already soaked up about 1/4 of the mix. Much better than other trials. Thanx. It was great to meet more folks who like to do their knives themselves, totally. Thanks again.

This is just a warning, if you go to Indian George's, DON'T try his HOT Pepper Relish, it's hotter than his forge!:D

my old welding buddy used to make pepper relish.

the ingrediants were tabasco peppers, cayene peppers, jalopeno peppers and chili peppers.

For the hot stuff he added habenero's:D

Hey George, that relish sounds good to me. Tess and I love hot!!! food. The fella I get my elk horn from makes an excellent hot elk sausage. I'll bring some when I come up, boy, it burns.

Speaking of...I'm going to visit Keith Bagley(Old Pine Forge)next month to try some of my first damascus.:D I met him at my first show and he's helped us out alot. After we put the fire out at his shop I'd enjoy coming up to do some more. Do use gas or coal, just curious?

the next day then it really burns..

 :footinmou :( :D

Dan, I got your message today. I will definately be joining N.E.C.K.A. and look forward to meeting a great group of people whom I've just started to get to know.

George, great, I get to try coal with Keith and gas with you guys, what else could I ask for..except maybe for some milk and bread with dinner! I know Tess is looking forward to it but we may have to let Dixie (pictured left) stay home and guard the farm. The puppy has enough energy in her tail to run bellows on a forge!
