i just got a griffe, and want to carry it clipped to the belt. anyone have a sheath or know of someone that makes on for it? thanks ...

I've been thinking about drilling a couple of extra holes and attaching a TekLok to mine. Seems the current sheath would work fairly well with a belt loop of some kind attached.

Blade-tech.com has full and mini tek locks.

bquinlan, tell me how that goes. I've been thinking of doing the same but with the Mini-tek lock.

guys, don't forget they make a mini Teclock now too. I believe you can get them from Bladetech.

Jonas and I were just having this very discussion a couple of days ago.

vactor, one of your best bets for a great sheath (kydex OR concealex) is Mike Sastre of River City Sheaths. You can reach him via e-mail at VideoSAS@aol.com

i sent mr. sastre an email about 4 days ago and no response yet ...

i sure like this knife thoug, maybe a bit more of a point would help, but a very nice design, and one that is very easy to take along wherever i go ... a nice match to my Spydercard ...

vactor, sometimes it takes Mike Sastre a week or so to reply to e-mails. If you'd like his phone# just let me know and I'll e-mail it to you.
He's currently making a Carbon Fiber pattern Concealex IWB rig for one of my blades; I'll post pix as soon as I get the sheath from him.

I've seen some of Mike Sastre's Kydex work before and the attention to detail is awesome.

Another gentleman that really impressed me is Frank Sigman. There are at least half a dozen custom makers that use Frank to make their sheaths.

Eric, I love the GIF.

There are already two holes at just the right interval for the Mini-TekLok, but one of them contains the rivet that holds the thing together. I haven't quite figured out how I want to approach that yet...

Chris Kravitt from Tree Stump Leather made my custom sheath for my La Griffe. It's not for carrying on my belt, but that's next. He's got a website. Check it out, His work is really outstanding. He'll be at the Atlanta show if you're going and also at the NCCA show in Stamford CT the next weekend.

Hey Gunt,

Sorry for the tardy reply, we were away for a few days.

Chris' adde is treestumpleather.com. I should have posted it in the first reply, but I've plugged him so often, I figured everyone was getting sick of hearing about him!

His website hardly does his work justice; he's a fine craftsman and his tooling is incredible. He'll make just about anything you can think of too...I've put him to the test more than once. I have some very unusual custom pieces and we designed a very hot garter sheath together.

If you call him or email him, tell him I sent you...maybe that will get me a little closer to my belt sheath for my La Griffe <wink>

Anyway, good luck.
