Thanks to Ted Erdelyi and Bud Nealy I had the good fortune to handle a Bud Nealy carry system and a new model blade called the DOGTOOTH or the Model B. The name hasn't been finalized yet :)
Passaround thread with more pics, reviews is HERE
Bud Nealy website is HERE

First the blade.....
ATS34
Flat grind
OAL 7 5/8"
Blade Lenth 3 1/2"
Blade width 1/8"
Handle width 3/8"

A very slim profile that I neglected to picture...DUH!!! when will I have a mind???
This is not just a tactical knife but a blade to edc as well. It fit the hand well and is a great edc size that I prefer.

Comfortable and solid feeling in all grips. No slipping with these G10 scales

The blade is sharp and pointy with a nice flat grind. Worked in the field and in the kitchen as well. I trimmed several pieces of meat and fish quite easily. Matter of fact it makes a lovely kitchen knife...

Now on to the carry system. There are MANY parts to the system for MANY carry configurations. I didn't do a boot carry so that isn't pictured. I should have had Kevin wear his combat boots and do it but another DUH!!!!
I called Bud Mealy and spoke to Karen. Karen sounds spritely enough to be his daughter :)
Karen took the time to explain the methods and what all the pieces are for. There was a fine printed directions that MOST ALL would be able to follow...But I'm a bit denser than most. Also Bud is evolving his carry system using a hook/loop fixing method. Sorta velcro on steroids.
I was skeptical that this attachment method would stand up to use. I was wrong! Nothing EVER came apart. IT IS A DYNAMITE CARRY SYSTEM....ANd you don't need to screw/unscrew all the time. There are a couple of times that the screw system is still used.

Here is my favorite carry method. Small of the back. I carried it this way for days and it is comfortable sitting, standing, bending...everything we do in our daily life.

There was a drawback to this range of comfort and ease of use....
I went to a supermarket and a health food store one day and when I got homethere was a package waiting for me.....BOING!!!!!
YEP!!! I had the Nealy still on and I was not wearing a jacket or cover...
That could have been embarrassing here in Sheepleville, New Jersey....
HAHAHAHAHA

What a dumbass I am sometimes...not often...tho...

Small of the back is smooth, effortless reach and easy to resheath. So light you forget it's there!!!!

On a cooler day I wore it inside my vest. I'm a bit odd and really like the vest pockets fopr all my stuff. Plus I can only use my right arm so I have to have more pockets....
In the vest inside breast pocket it carried well. See it doesn't print at all.
Hahahahaha

Easy access to the blade and draw.

Next is neck carry... holds well lightweight. You can yank on this and it doesn't come apart. Which is good!

OWB Outside waist band or belt carry.. The hook stuff makes universal adjusting a breeze.

A fine knife and a GREAT CARRY SYSTEM

27 pages of pics and 10 hours typing one handed and the VEST is what leaps out!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA
It is a Really great Cabelas's Safari cotton vest.
I got it in the Cabels's cove, where they sell the stuff returned...What a neat score this was. I think I paid $15...almost two years ago or so.

I got a chuckle out of the vezt question too. :D

Hey! Thanks Tom, I'll have a look at Cabelas's catalog right away!

Tom, thanks for the great review and pics, you raised the bar in evaluations and set a new level to attain and maintain.

I have 2 of Buds knives so far, an ancient blued O-1 Aikuchi(my favorite custom fixed blade and a ATS34 Stinger.

I'll own many more before I'm done, next knife will be the Pocono.

Thanks again for the great review.

You can see a little notch in the lower right of the sheath. That is an indicator of the edge of the blade goes to it. There are no magnets in it. Didn't need any :)
