Every one should know by now how much I love daggers. My Damascus, mother of pearl and sterling from an antique dinner knife. Fun to make. 9 5/8 inches.

Very cool little dagger.
The antique handle and the dark damascus blade look really good together.

Dan, Dan, the Dagger Man. I don't know where you ran across all those old dinner knives but you sure are putting htem to good use.

Dan, all of your daggers i've seen have a striking 'presence', but i like this one the best. Although i collect ivory and ivory handled knives, i think the pearl suits these daggers better. And your pics have picked up some great fire in this piece of pearl. The carved end looks similar to Tulip pattern. I have a set of 6 Jos. Rodgers Tea knives with ivory handles carved into Tulip pattern, made about 100 years ago, and i'd say your carving of this pearl looks to be every bit as good.
Thanks for showing us. Beautiful (& deadly if used) knife.

I never knew that pearl could be so thick (or are they scales?)
Nice wirk, I like the combination

Beautiful Work Dan.

Thanks guys. After making these I hate to let them go. Wonder if other makers feel this way?

That's sexy!

Dan: "After making these I hate to let them go"
This is easy to understand, but perhaps it might help to know that their new owners likely also feel a sense of attachment as soon as they open the package and then have the knife in hand.
I'm hoping to pick this one up at the P.O. tomorrow and i'm sure i'll feel attached to it immediately. My sincere thanks for the effort and artistry you put into this dagger. Both you and your knives, which you sell at such 'kind' prices, are much appreciated by those of us fortunate enough to receive one (or more).

Super classy. Nice damascus, and the antique sterling bit is a really nice touch.

Oddly enough, I don't feel very attached to most of the knives I make- I enjoy them while I have them, but like to get on to the next thing. Although, if I'd made that, I'd want to keep it.

Picked this up yesterday (as it's now 2 am). Just as beautiful and elegant as Dan's fine photography shows and in-hand feels all too natural, for it must never be used. The tip is needle like and both edges fully razor sharp. It is every bit as much a potential weapon as it is a beautiful and finely crafted work of art, both a show piece and a real dagger.
Thank you Dan, you are a Dagger Master, and i'm very pleased to own this superb knife.
