Driving down to Georgetown this morning, we witnessed an interesting scene: a road kill deer (on an interstate) was nibbled on by full-size red fox. Interesting thing is that there was no large body of forest anywhere in that area. An even more interesting thing is that this was the first time I've seen a fox since I was a kid. ;) Anyway, thought I'd share because this was definitely completely unexpected.

The scene looked something like this (without the snow :-):

Just take note - that is not my picture; I pulled it off the net, but the scene I saw this morning was not much different.
 
I see at least 1 fox every day or other day just running around here in Nortnern CO.
