That's a nice sheath set up. I like the way John did that last batch with the cross draw option.

Similar to an option some of our custom makers use called an "X-loop". First place I saw it many, many moons ago was Chuddy Bear.

I dont think I've mentioned it but I've got a stack of small drop points on the bench that have a similar type of sheath in mind. Pocket blades with an entry level price, I think you guys will like them.

Haha true, but this is the best I can do for now Greg. Drop points, 6 1/2ish inches, and affordable. I'll build a couple at a time to keep the wait times down. I'll get a thread going with more details when the time is right.


Sorry for hijacking your thread Don. I do have a question though, what is the large slot in the middle for? To allow the leather to flex easier when inserting a belt or am I missing something?

Yeah, when I wear the Serrano it's always in cross-draw mode.

Interesting John. I'll be following the progress on those small-ish ones you've got cooking.
I like those little Bark Rivers. Not sure why there's a big "hole" in the back of that sheath. Maybe to save weight ??
The whole design looks light as a feather.
