Canine buddy of the racing variety with long legs and neck, unrepentant counter surfer, pulls my BK-15 in its budget sheath off the dresser. Chews the end off, doesn't cut himself, amazingly. Scrap leather and barge cement and we're back in action. Gotta get a nicer sheath, but until then . . .

Doesn't sound like you're describing a Queensland my friend. Nice job on getting er back in business. Came across your flap holster post while doing more research on the pilfered pancake deal. Sure glad you like it. That was a cool pic with your Ruger.

Wow! Glad your pup didn't hurt himself. Great recovery on the sheath! Looks like it should hold up until you can get a custom. Going to leather or kydex?

Nice save. A little dark dye and a slight angle cut with burnish around the top, and no one will know it wasn't made that way in the first place.

Of the eight we've had, there hasn't been greyhound that would chew quite deep enough he'd have gotten to the blade. They're out there, but mine have been book and magazine rippers, shoe carriers and nibblers, and diggers. Of course, running is their sport of choice, but when interesting things appear, they can gnaw a bit. And that sheath was just tasty enough.

I'm thinking I'll stick to leather for this knife. I like the natural materials more, I think.

Glad you like the Ruger pic, Dave. I searched the 'net far and wide for that holster and when it showed up, I was thrilled. I don't know for sure why the seller didn't sell it with the gun, but I suspect he came out better by selling it separately as most folks don't go for flap holsters. It's perfect for me, though. Most of all, it acquainted me with your work and that's an even better thing.

Hmm doesn't ring a bell but I've made quite a few. Most popular has been for that Ruger SP101 then the Vaquero and followed by the diffent Kimbers.
