Neck knife at T.A.D!

Sigh...That is not the first knife that was posted and sold while I was actually logged into their pages at TAD. Awhile back, I was refreshing the page and some Snody knives showed up, but before I could complete my order online for the Karma Kozuka, they were ALL sold. True story. Gotta be quick at TAD. Patrick just always has such great goodies being offered.

Did anyone happen to note the asking price for this piece before Patrick marked it sold? Just curious.

I know the feeling. Have just orderd one of the Striders TAD listed within the last few hours, and it refreshed and showed listed as "SOLD". Now the question is, did my order cause that or am I also one of the "second in line's". Sigh...checking email frequently for confirmation from TAD. You just gotta love their site, it must be a real frenetic pace around that office. Amazing how they manage too keep up with all the comings and goings and still provide outstanding service.

Hey rad, my tanto neck knife came from Ernie at the Guild Show. It's a bit smaller than the one that Patrick sold at the top of this thread. I think that they come in 3 sizes, and mine is the medium if I'm not mistaken. They can also be had in both tanto and spear.

rogue, I kind of doubt that these will ever become production pieces, but you never know. John could answer that for you better than I could.
 
Eric- So as I don't look Too dumb. Prolly not more than 10 min before you did your last post here I stumbled across your 09-02-2001 post in the "Emerson Specwar neck knives" post and the "light" came on. I thought maybe you had offered Patrick your next born child or something like that to get the one off of TAD's site.
But then I remembered that I have already done that so as to get first dibs on the UT5 and UT6, and he turned me down (he wanted the my next Two new borns and that would have been just tooo long to

I have no information on this style Neck Knife becoming a production piece.

In my opinion, these pieces are overlooked. We're talking about a Specwar custom that can be had on the secondary market for just over the retail of a production Commander!

I was lucky enough to pick up a large Tanto Neck Knife and I'm going to have a IWB Kydex sheath made for it for daily carry.
