I've been a folders kind of guy for most of my knife-carrying life, but lately I've been wanting to try EDCing a fixed blade. I wanted something that I could EDC in a more urban environment, so a couple weeks ago I picked up a RAT Izula and decided to give the whole neck knife thing a go.

I have to say that I will probably never carry a folder again.

Now you gotta get a Becker Necker, I got one and I love it. Also Becker and ESEE knives have a collab coming out a Becker Necker blade with an Izula handle. I know what i'm getting next

And after that, you got to get a Carter Necker. I got two, and I looove them.

You might want to also take a look at the BRKT Bravo Necker. Its a bit more expensive than the Izula, but with the non-coated blade and hollow grind, I think its a bit better slicer than the Izula (although both are great knives) ;)

Spyderco Swick or Spot.
Unfortunatly, both those Spyderco neckers are OOP and are getting pretty difficult to find even on the third party market now. :(

Yeah, I looked into the BRTK Necker as well. I wasn't too keen on the coated handle and spine/uncoated grind look but I might give one a chance.

Edit: I do love the idea of removable handle scales, though. I believe RAT/ESEE are coming out with scales for the Izula in the near future as well.

What I have found myself, is that a good neck knife also fits well at the small of your back if you want some change in where you keep your knife.

Then again, I only suggest this if you are in an area where people are comfortable with seeing a knife there.
