I know it's kind of a personal opinion, but what length do you like your cord on your neck knife to be? I'm no talking about inches, more like how far it goes down.

I think it kind of depends on whether you plan on wearing it under or over your clothes. If it will be under then I would think, and prefer to have it lower on my body so I can just barely reach up under my shirt and pull out the knife.

If I were to be wearing it over my clothes then I would probably like it up a little higher to keep it out of the way. Then it is still easy to access when needed, but out of my way when not needed. I would probably actually prefer it higher up my chest if it could always be easily reached.

I usually wear my neck knives long enough so that the end of the handle is right where my sternum begins on the bottom.

tip down folder in a neck rig... pivot right over the curve on the bottom of the sternum. been wearing the same knife there for over 2yrs now.

I carry a Becker Necker or a BM42 in a neck sheath. I wear both pretty high, with the cord just long enough to fit around my head. The knives hang with the handle end just below my sternum. Underneath a button-down uniform shirt they do not print at all and I can draw them easily from between the buttons.

That's pretty much how I do it, too.
