I've read the penal code but i have trouble sorting all that business out so i figured i'd ask: If i own a small fixed blade, can i carry it concealed without any kind of permit? If so, how big can the blade be? I know the laws regarding folders but wasn't sure how those related to fixed blades. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you ask your local law enforcement, but be sure to ask a couple different ones and don't wear your knife.

Yes...but I usually carry fixed blades closer to 4".
