Seriously, that is what is one of the many unique things on the Hideaway Knife www.hideawayknife.com Frontsite has the "Bro Clip" that attaches to your clothes and to the sheath. I tack mine on my undershirt just below my left pocket and I can reach in and grab it through my buttons. You can put this on your tie or anywhere else and it would work great. It is designed so if you attach it the knife never falls off (unless the fabric tears but the knife is so light that is unlikely to happen).
You could also do this with a lil loco. I have a very small length of ball chain attached to my sheath and this could easily be looped around the piece which holds the thin end of your tie. I don't think the weight would be an issue.
Another option would be to buy a set of Frontsight's SheathSticks (from http://www.hideawayknife.com/). SheathSticks will allow you to attach a sheath to just about any article of clothing anywhere you like. (They were designed for use with the HideAway Knife, which would be my first choice, but they will work with almost any small-to-medium knife sheath.)
Use a SheathStick as a tie tack and fasten a lil Loco to the back of the wide part of your tie. The tie still looks normal and even if it moves around it would be hard to see the knife.
