Neck knife

I'm surprised there hasn't already been 100 posts saying izula ,candiru, or a becker. I don't carry a neck knife(yet), but if I did one of those would be my choice.

ESEE Izula, Becker EsKabar and Necker, Blackjack necker, CRKT Minimalist. There are quite a few more that I'm missing, I'm sure.

Well, a few rules about neck knives.
You don't want it heavy.
You don't need it any much longer than your hand.
You need something which don't rattle and comes loose.
You certainly want something which others swear by...
Go Esee

BK-11 is my favorite! I also love my Candiru. That is one awesome little blade.
The Izula is great as well as the Izula II and the BK-14/24 are nice too.

I do prefer mine with handle scales over naked or cord wrapped.

For a bit more you could get the Emerson La Griffe it is a great neck knife small compact and once you get used to it you'll never even know it's there can't even begin to tell you how great it is.

I have said this before and will do so again, an Izula is my pick for outdoor activities, but around town it is too big. The Outdoor Edge Wedge (15 bucks) is just fabulous http://www.knifeworks.com/outdooredgewedgesmall212blade.aspx#.U9ncGuOSywI . The Cold Steel Super Edge is hard to beat. http://www.knifeworks.com/coldsteelsuperedgeserratededge.aspx#.U9nbMeOSywI (20 bucks). I have abused my older version and asked it to do things I should not have, and it has held up very very well, and cuts like a chain saw. The CRK Minimalist is great, too. Also, the Esee Candiru is about to come out with a neck sheath so I would put this on top of my list.
Other knives just do not live up to the hype, are too big, too heavy, too small, or do not work well IMO.

I'm a big fan of the Izula. Another to consider is the A.G. Russell Woodswalker, probably priced at a third of your budget. I have one that I have used for several years.

Question answered, you can close the thread now. :D

I really like my ESEE Candiru, but it lives in my wallet. When I carry I neck knife it is my Damon Lusky of Alfa Knife Pigmy Box Cutter. I think it was $90 which is more than you want to spend, but I would recommend Alfa Knife although you cannot go wrong with the Izula. I just wanted to suggest something a little different.

The light is a Veleno Designs Quantum D2.

Boker Plus Rhino Calf, Grasshopper, Mega Mini, or Nub. CRKT Minimalists or SPEW. All under 40 bucks. Most under 30. All great small neck knives.
