neck knife

REKAT Utility Neck Knife. But get it fast, because they have been discontinued. Incidentally, there is a "neck knife petition" going on over in the REKAT forum, if you happen to get the UNK and like it.

Quadruple T,
The Cold Steel versions are not what I would call a good neck knife. More of a good keychain or pocket lanyard knife. Too bulky in my opinion. (But they ARE sharp!)

After searching around for awhile I decided to go with the Columbia River K&T "Bear Claw" to use as a neck knife.

It resembles the La Griffe, only a little longer (about 1 1/4") and it also has Zytel handle scales that feel GREAT, even in large hands.

........ comes with a cool Zytel sheath too. The knife clips in thanks to a strategically placed hex screw.........and speaking of clips, it comes with one of those too.

I actually got 2 of them, and LOVE 'em.

Since I like neck knives and I like making neck knives, I thionk all the above knives will work. Just pick out the one you like. The amount you pay will usually depend on the quality of the finished product and the materials it is made of. My web site is still in the infant stage but it can be seen at www.tah-usa.net/raker . If you have any questions, please e-mail me and I will try to answer them. Ray Kirk RAKER Knives

Ray Kirk puts an AMAZING edge on his neck knives of 52100 and ATS-34. They cut like crazy and don't seem to dull.

Rob Simonich made me an awesome talonite neck knife with a 2.5 inch blade. Beautiful fit and finish. If you like talonite, it's a classic.

Fred Perrin makes ingenious neck knives which combine stealth with great grip and utility. 1075 carbon steel is his preferred medium.

I recommend the three very highly as both makers and as men.

Some examples of their work can be seen on a little photo gallery of some of my own knives at:

I don't think anyone would be disappointed owning a neck knife by any of these gentlemen.
