Well..... It seems to me like a good idea to have one. Should be useful for fishing/camping trips.
Any suggestions?

Have been eyeing the Becker Necker and matching micarta scales for a few weeks now--plus was thinking about adding the belt clip to the sheath too.
I would recommend the Izula. I have one, wish I had 4. Not that I have four necks to wear them on... but I want them in the black, tan, and green coating. And then the last one I'd remove the coating![]()
What, no love for tactical pink?![]()
It depends on what you're looking for. I've handled an Izula and I think it's a great little blade, it has comfortable grip (albeit for a short amount of time), and the steel is tough. I've never heard anything bad about Becker Neckers, but I've never had any experience with them. Just depends on the price range you're looking for, though. Some things that I've noticed about my neckers that maybe might factor into your decision would be the handle material, the steel and how it will react in a moist environment like your shirt, especially if you work outside a lot, and weight.
Something like the H.E.S.T from ESEE in my opinion would be too heavy, and the point at the end of the handle would be unpleasant.
Get something light, something that will be close to your body, not weigh against your neck, and can be held back by your shirt (when you lean forward for example).
You want a smooth handle, otherwise it will abrade the skin on your chest, and also since the knife will be under your shirt, moisture will affect knives that have a higher carbon content... Another thing to think about I guess.
Do you have any paracord lying around? If so, you might give this a try before buying a belt clip (if you can tolerate horizontal carry)...Have been eyeing the Becker Necker and matching micarta scales for a few weeks now--plus was thinking about adding the belt clip to the sheath too.
