How does the law treat neck knives? I live in Indiana, and as far as weapons go, it's pretty much like the Wild West here, but if I was let's say in NYC (I read here that the blade limit there is 4") would I get in trouble with let's say, a 3.5" neck knife?

Thanks.

A neck knife is a concealed knife. No questions about it. You need to make sure that in the place you live, or travel to, with a neck knife, that it is legal to be carried concealed. The only thing you have going for you is that the average cop, doing a quick pat down, would be more likely to miss a neck knife than a pocket knife. I don't know how much more likely though. And I sure wouldn't wait till I was getting patted down to let a cop know about a knife, probably even if I thought it was illegal. Seems like I'd probably get better and more rational treatment if I pointed it out first.
