hey guys im looking for a good neck knife. i own the Cold Steel Super Edge and i think its okay but its nothing to brag about. i want something maybe a little bigger and fine edge. id like it to be under 20$ and i know that might be hard but give me some ideas. thanks.

You are going to be hard pressed to find something really nice for less than 20 bucks.

You could try a CRKT wharnecliffe minimalist. I have been thinking about getting one off of amazon, ~$20.

If you can russle up a bit more money, the izula II's can be had for 60 bucks or so.

Becker Necker or Eskabar is in the $30s and is really great. I'm a big Izula fan myself, but neither of those is in your price range. I think I've seen some of the custom knife makers here on BFC do runs of inexpensive-ish neckers.

Buying a cheap neck knife can be iffy. Not so much with the knife, but rather the sheath. You want something with good retention. A good custom made sheath can cost as much or more than the knife at your price point.

Agree 200%

Use to have a small neckknife. The sheath spring or holder wore out and the knife kept dropping out
One day it snagged on the inner stitch of my T shirt, I tripped and nearly seppuku'ed myself.

Lucky I fealt the prick in time and steadied my self with my arms so only got a light cut

Cheapo neck knives are potentialy very dangerous to the wearer

I own a custom Folts minimalist with sanded micarta scales. Love it and from what I hear the CRKT version is very well made and affordable.
