The proposed dates are April 17th or 24th. I personnel would prefer the 24th to give me more time to get another slab in, but no big deal. This will be also discussed at the NCCA Show on April 4th. Please feel free to add comments. We will have rope cutting, 2 x 4 chopping, can slicing and whatever else anyone can thing of. The specs for the knife can be found on the NECKA website. It is the same as the ABS but it can be forge or stock removal. Anyone planning on attending please Email me @ indgeo@juno.com. Also the admission fee must be discussed it will be no more than $30. This includes coffee and donuts, lunch and beverages (a lot of beer). Demos J. Neilson forging a Hawk, Gary Rua Forging a blade. Jim Siska grinding, canister welding and Damascus making me or one of my Grasshoppers. Looking for someone to do a Mokumne demo and vendors are invited.
For lunch my Grasshopper ( Mike) and I may have a cook off. :D :D I promise not to use to much of my HT'g Relish.

not to mention as veryone comes in they're welcome to grab a lollipop of 1" steel cable so they can try their hand at cable damascus. we would also really like a demo on lost wax casting if anyone could help us with that. and of course as previously stated i'll going to kick IG's butt in the cook off. everyone make sure to bring some show and tell, and a big appetite (and all your friends) see ya there

I live in CT and have just started out by making handles and reconfiguring some factory knives I have. Where is the event?

Does anyone know where I can get a cheap belt grinder? Can I use a Ryobi belt sander 4"x36" and just get some belts that will do metal?

I am a proud owner of a Churck G. knife and hope he'll be at the NECKA Hammer in.

Best,

PJG

Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy!

I don't think I be able to make it, Should be closing on a house and packing.

Email me the exact date and I'll update the Newsletter and send it out. Will need a replacement to take notes and send them to me for the NCCA show and the hammerIn.

:(
