Necker 1 used price?

How bad do you want it? Also is it the revised version or the original

They're not even on the production schedule so it'll be a LONG time before you can order one direct. In addition to what Riz said, i'd consider just how used it is.... if it's close to new that's obviously far different than if it's all scratched up with a broken tip.

One sold in an auction style format on the Big Auction Site for over $150 a couple of days ago. It wasn't in the most pristine of conditions I had seen and was definitely a used one and not a safe queen. The bidding had sat there around the min listed price of $50 for a good few days and in the last few minutes the sniper auction programs had bid it up to what it sold for! I would have not paid $75 for that knife. If you know how to do research on that Site, you will be able to look at that as an example for you. If the one you are looking at goes to a more public auction forum, it will do more that $100 if it is a pristine sample, even if it has been used!

If it's going to be a user and you don't mind a ding on the blade edge and marks on the sheath.

I think it comes down to how bad you want it. The price becomes pretty relative to how high your desire is to have that knife in a day or two. The convenience of the secondary market can raise the price and lower the expectation of what you're getting compared to the pristine and razor sharpness that comes from the factory.

So you sold that numbered necker. :( i'm the one that drove the price to 150.00 You can buy me a beer. ;)

Here is how I look at prices of any item.

The "wanter" sets the price. To me, I would never pay more than $75 for a necker. I have one already and see no need to buy it.

If you dont have one and want one then its as valuable as you are willing to pay. My useage applies to my value. I am willing to pay more for a knofe I am going to actually use. Over the years, my knife collection swelled to a massive size and then slowly shrank as I realized had I so much money tied up in stuff I never used. Now I only buy knives that I know I will use. The only reason I would buy a knife that Im not going to use is if I know that 6 months to a year from now I can sell it for more than I paid. I was going to go all out with the recent operation two weeks by Busse but I watched the exchange for a few months in the beginning. It was immediately flooded by Busses and the sales were slow. I held off and I am glad I did. I would have lost a ton of money.

Example of buyer determined value... I would probably pay +$375 up to $425 for an LNIB M4 G10/Titanium spyderco Millie. They made 500, they are 6 years old and I only discovered I like the millies about 2 years ago and I really want one in that confoguration. I know that they wont be made again in that configuration and the rarity males my chances of scoring one very low. So no matter what anyone else tells me they are worth, Ide jump on one if I had the funds.

I wish Inwould have preordered multiples of every S!K made. They are easily selling on the secondary market for more than they cost directly from Guy. (An indicator that Guy should raise his prices)

Nice! You will probably love it. They are very handy. Reminds me of a utility knife
