Necker-Eskabar Sheath Differences

Interestingly (or not, I guess) just got the Eskabar, great! Noticed that the sheath is just a bit different in the way the extruded part is shaped.

The odd thing is that

- Eskabar in Eskabar sheath still has the characteristic rattle that the Necker does.
- Eskabar in Necker sheath, same fit/rattle
- BUT, Necker in Eskabar sheath, nice fit and NO rattle. Go figger.

Sort of moot as far as the Eskabar though, as had already picked up a custom sheath from maker on eBay:

I've never understood the whole rattle problem, I have been in the field with both the eskabars, newer and older shealth and have never heard anything come from them.

Yes there is a rattle when you treat it like a babys toy.
I think the Kabar/Becker Kydex shealths are beyond excellent, some of the best company sheaths I have ever seen....

I agree it won't rattle just wearing it. Just a minor nit that it's not rock solid flush in the sheath. And it's significantly wider than it needs to be, which is a little bothersome worn under the shirt.
