I was gifted a 14 last month & did a little work to it. not that it needed anything. Becker are good to go as is. I just wanted to make it mine.
I clipped the tip a little, Had to after checking out Tradewaters at SHOT. His looks better
The photos are not very good I know I had a hard time getting the angle right.
That is not rust on the blade I think it has some dust from the cedar.
I used "Van's instant gun blue" on the knife after stripping it.
Added a little jimping.
The handle might be little thick but once you take material off it's a pain to put back so I will use it like this and thin it latter if need be.
Last summer I made some My-carta from burlap & have been waiting to use it.
I bent some kydex for it here it is with the outstanding trail bum sheath for my 24 & the sheath I made for my 11.
Eyelets set for a mini tecloc. I find the tecloc a little thick so I am going to make a belt clip .
My 14 has the most work done to it
my 24 has better looking wood.
my 11 with wood from scrap window trim & fugly sheath is my trusted friend with many adventures.
