Like the subject says, I'm looking for recommendations.
Here are my requirements:
- No Chinese made knives (let's not turn this into a political discussion; it's just my own philosophical requirement)
- 3" (give or take) blade length
- $300 max budget
- Premium steel with preference for edge holding and thin stock/grind for slicing instead of heavy use
- No plastic handles; textured/contoured Ti, nice Micarta or other premium materials
- no lock backs
- easy one hand opening closing
- simple/elegant design; don't want any decorative flourishes etc.

GO!

Seems to me you already know what you want...

I've had a Neutron 2 before and liked it.
Don't know why I sold it.
Unfortunately, they're not available now.
The site says "soon".
It's definitely in the running though.

ZT 0350, or 0390 or the Benchmade Crooked River-they make two sizes of this model….I have a copy of each and they are all fantastic. Cheers, look them up.

I'm not sure elegant you are wanting, but I really dig my Mini Adamas.
$300ish
Cruwear with a surprisingly thin edge for a knife designed to what it does
Axis flippity

The handle may seem ornate and it's G10, but it's a pretty nice knife coming in at 3.25"

No offense but this is the polar opposite of what I'm looking for with respect to design.
Please read my requirements.
I did say:

If you can use a knife produced in Taiwan by an American company (like Spyderco) look at the Cold Steel Holdout 3. 3inches, light, thin and strong. And the sliciest knife I ve ever had. Amazing value for less than $100.
Durable.
