I read in one or another thread that people are grieving over not being quick enough to buy one of the JKM knives when Yangdu posts them The posters said that they wanted them for "Dangler" knives. If that is truly whatyu are seeking, may I suggest that you go over to http://www.grecoknives.com/ and scroll down to the bottom of his page. John makes three very nice little Dangler knives. I have one and I liked it so much that I bought one for a sister who lives and works on a farm. She clips it to one of the belt loops on her jeans, but it could be hung anywhere. I will tell you that the steel in them is Hell for tough and that they are durable as all Hell. They keep a good edge well and sharpen easily.

Cool site, and I like his knives. Looks like soemthing I should make rather than spend Khuk money on though. But Oh do I love browsing new knife sites. Thanks for the link.

Love those Scagel blades.

The Dangler in 52100 looks really nice, but...I'm kinda with Andy on that one...I'd rather make one of my own. (Even though I do occassionally make handles that are so rainbow bright and goofy looking a gay pimp on acid wouldn't touch it):o

Well, I have found John to be a very decent man with whom to talk and a very good craftsman. I bought one of his Searles style Bowies on sale after Blade last summer and I LOVE it.

I'm glad he decided to just change gears instead of retiring. Judging by the looks of things, it looks like he made a really good decision. Man those are some good looking knives!

Hey, Steely:

You could buy those danglers for all the doggies and kittys you have and clip them to their collars. If their leashes get tangles in something they could cut themselves free. Or open bags of treats. Every guard dog should have one, too.

Thos clips are a neat idea. I saw Satori uses a carabiner on his. Cool idea too.
