but now i`m in search for a 4" folding EDC.

What are your favorites?

:D

I really like the Mayo TNTs with Wharncliffe blades I've seen. I don't know what kind of financial constraints you're under but you may want to take a look at oen if you can afford it (I can't :( ). I feel confident that you'd be pleased.

SORRY !

i had to make the same error as every newbe, ;)
forgot the price :(

EDC also means EDU for me,
i realy mean abuse:

clean fingernails,
cut food, (clean bevore),
cut flowers, .....

So my wish would be a folder about 100 to 150 $ ?????????

I'm going to second the Benchmade 921. I haven't handled one but from reading the forums I've only heard good things about it. It comes in a good steel and it also has a smaller blade on the back of the handle that would be perfect for finger nail cleaning. It can also come in combo edge, which is a nice option to have.

The price at www.newgraham.com is $118.75 and it looks like both blade options are in stock, the plain as well as the combo edge

Here's the link at Benchmade's website http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.asp?model=921

And here's the link at Newgraham.com

Check it out.

the only factory wharncliffe knife i've seen with a blade length approaching 4 inches is this Klotzi by Peter Wimpff.. but it's partially serrated and 440C steel.. not sure if that's what you're looking for.. 3-&-3/4" blade tho..

Not 4" but...

For a user knife there are the Spyderco Yojimbo's. Don't think they are out yet though.

Third call for the Benchamde 921 Switchback. I just got one and it makes for a nice gentleman's folder. It has the big wharcliff blade of 3.5 to 3.9 inches (I'm not sure which). The smaller blade comes in handy for those little jobs.

Do they ever come in PE? I might get one if they weren't CE.

If we're talking customs, David L. Mosier (DMKNIVES here) makes a VERY cool Wharncliffe folder.

I'm the lucky guy that bought that knife. (BTW, it's ATS34). I love it.

If you have any questions about it, lemme know.
