Lost a couple of my good folding knives in a move the past month , so what is out new that is good in the $250 - 350 range about a 2.5-3'' blade with asst opening or auto .

The re-released Microtech UTX-85 in m390 with contoured handle scales fits your given requirements...well, maybe a touch longer at 3.125".

Good luck with your search!

Benchmade Mini Barrage
Assisted 2.91" M390 blade with a decent sized handle and the Benchmade warranty.
I see them listed in the $150-200 range.
Get one before they're gone.

Protech and Benchmade both make autos & AOs in your size/price range. The mini-Barrage in G10 & 20CV is a good assisted knife. The CLA 4300 is a good lightweight auto, but the blade is a bit longer than you want.

Protech has the Protech/Strider PT (2.75" blade), the Calmigo (1.9" blade), the Newport (3" blade), the Sprint (2" blade), the Runt (2" blade), the small Brend (2.9" blade), and the TR-2 (3" blade) and all autos, as well as the assisted TR-5 (3.25" blade).

Very good suggestions here. ProTech stuff is top drawer, and the Mini-Barrage with Axis Assist is terrific.

Both companies make good stuff, and pair that with exceptional customer service.

Is a 'floder' some kind of Dutch knife? :)
LOL yeah i saw that after the fact but it's called fat fingers on an iphone
So what would be the best benchmade ? I have had a couple over the years and just didn't like them but might have been the model i got . I wouldn't mind spending over 300$ but would have to be assisted opening for sure and not a huge one either , just hate to spend that much and get it and hate it .
