I am working a trade with a guy in Burkina Faso, Africa. He only speaks french and native dialects. He wants a low-end video camera / camcorder and they are terribly expensive there. "Good enough" cameras here cost $100-$125.

We have been communicating through a local museum curator here in Atlanta who does speak french. I don't. But she feels she would not be up to translating the instructions and the camera menu would be a problem.

I can find a camera that is in PAL format and 220-240v, but the instructions and camera menus are only in english and spanish, maybe chinese, not french.

I have even searched eBay/France, but the cameras they sell, as far as I can tell, do not have menus or instructions in french.

We have an international community here in the Cantina and I wonder if anyone can help me?

Good luck finding instructions! Just bought an Epson Photoscanner and an HP Printer as upgrades for what we've been using, and neither one has instructions for setting up, let alone using!

You might be able to get one from Canada via e-bay. I think the law requires instruction manuals to be in english and french.
