Need a good 3" knife preferably ffg with a decent steel, any suggestions?

Hey guys just looking for a new knife for work, something small at 3" or so. I do mainly slice cuts so full flat grind is preferred. I have a Delica and love it but I want to try something a little better than VG10 because it seems to dull a tad quick for my taste. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Folder I assume? I would go with a Spyderco Paramilitary 2.

The Para 2 is great, but I think it might be larger than what the OP is looking for (the blade is 3 7/16").

OP, if you want to stick with Spyderco I'd recommend the Caly 3 (laminated ZDP-189), Sage series (if you don't have a problem with knives made in Taiwan). I think the Native 5 in S35VN is 3" as well.

If you're willing to look at other brands: Benchmade Shori, Mini-Barrage in M390. Kershaw Leek (S30V or composite blade).

Chapperal, Sage series, BM 707(high flat), ZDP cally or DF2 all come to mind.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will probably try the Delica in ZDP, didn't even think of that! I'll also look into several others mentioned, thanks again everyone.

The older ones were saber ground, only just recently did they start making the ZDP Delica in FFG, since that's important to you watch out to make sure your getting new stock.

For light cutting works with a fine blade length and all in a very slim package, I have chosen the BM943.... And it is very good.
That is the best (blade length)/(size+weight) ratio I own and I am very happy with it :)

Thanks for the heads up, I was noticing that some were pictured with a saber and others with ffg. I'm now also quite interested in the Caly 3, Chaparral, and Sage 1 so I will have to decide (wish I could get all 4 tbh, but I have to have some restraint).

The Spyderco Chaperral is a great knife. It's like a Delica but Carbon Fiber scales. Older ones have S30V blade steel, the new ones have CTS XHP.
