Does anyone know which one is the most durable and easy to set up/ break down and pack? I'm mob'ing out in 27 days, and I have yet to be issued any kind of wet weather gear or shelter, so I'm gonna get my own and take my chances. Any help greatly appreciated.

Try Campmor.
I made my own,but you can buy a sleeping bag cover that really does a good job for under $50.00
It has a waterproof bottom and a water repellant top cover. It is about 7 ft. long and 5 ft. wide. you slip you bag and pad between the covers. It is also handy for keeping your gear clean and handy at night, gear goes between the covers with you. Check it out.<><

I distinguish between bivvy SHELTERS (small 1-person tent-like structures with either poles or tie-up/down loops for support) and bivvy BAGS (an outer skin for your sleeping bag). Somewhere in the middle are hybrid bivvy bags that have poles to keep the hood off of your head as you lay in the bag. Not sure which one you are looking for, so will give my $0.02 on both. :)

For bivvy shelters, check out the products of Tarptent.com.

Another company with a good reputation for super-lightweight gear, including backpacking housing, is Golite. There are tons of vendors for their products on the web.

Here's a link with a bunch of ultralight bivvy shelters and bags: http://www.backcountrygear.com/tent/LightweightShelters.cfm
