if you haven't picked one yet? i use a&g gun belt in georgia.
i had him make me a 1 1/2" horsehide in 2 pieces of horsehide, instead of the standard bull/cow hide inside piece with horsehide outside piece. turned out great. some might say overkill, but it's hot down here in floriduh and belts get water logged after a day in the heat. horsehide does better with wet than cow, treated or not. double horse doesn't suck up the sweat like inside cow and outside horse does.
i got three belts from him and all have been perfect. he does the 7 holes at 3/4" apart option and the same stuff the other good gun belt guys do. i also like beltman, makes good stuff too. i consider these two about equals, except i find a&g faster and more receptive to custom askings. good luck on the hunt.
