I must be out of style. All the more expensive flippers I see have odd blade and handle shapes that seem impractical to me. One exception is the ZT 0562, but I’m wondering if they’ve improved quality control, particularly heat treating, a few years Ago I wasted $160 bucks on one back when their heat treat was crap and they single handedly gave Elmax a bad name. Mine was supposedly S35VN but held an edge like the plastic knives you get at McDonalds. Who has experience with their newer models? I’d hate to spend north of $200 on another junk blade. Thanks.

I must be lucky, but I have yet to have a single bad ZT, and I've owned probably over 20 at this point and still have most of them. The only one I ever had that was a little off was a slightly chippy 0357. Everything else has been fantastic. I would suggest finding a 0801. Fantastic flipper.

They've got a whole bunch of different blade shapes available. I'll bet that at least one of them would tickle your fancy...
