So,
I spent part of the day with Chuck Richards at his shop in Salem Oregon. I'll have to say I was in heaven.
I now KNOW I need to upgrade my Hammer selection.(And add a press, power hammer,mill..... lol.
)
I've decided to add one of Ed Caffrey's angle pien hammers,
and one of Tai Goo's straight peen hammers.

Here is my first ever knife, needs some work when I get my disc grinder and 2"x72" going next week, and my fresh from the forge second knife, a hidden tang.
Both are from 1080

Any other recommendations? :thumbup: :thumbup: I'll be getting those two to start, but also want a smaller Japanese cutler hammer too.
If only Sam would finish his PILE of hammers!
Thanks again to Chuck. I was incredibly impressed with the knives he had lying out in progress. He was an excellent teacher and moved me forward a year in my learning curve.
