I made a rig for someone off my loaner ASHBM, and it doesn't fit his. Before I go forward with any more projects with this model, I'd very much appreciate some measurements so I can do my work with a little more confidence.

I'd like to have a blade length, tip to micarta.
blade width, near the choil and somewhere in between.
Blade thickess, if you have a ruler only thats plenty ok, calpers are welcomed as well.

I know this is a little out of the blue, I haven't had to bother with specs in a long time, this is a little alarming.

The Anniversary Mean Street has proven to have some variations as well.

Many many thanks to anyone who can help!!! :)

I'll be able to post some CG measurements a little later today. But I do have a minty fresh CG ASHBM with choil I could loan you if you need another loaner ?? Just shoot me an email.
I do not have an LE " yet " lol. But I will be getting one to go in the sheath I have on order :D:D

My choil version :

Blade Tip to handle 11 1/16 apprx
Spine to edge at choil 1 7/8
Spine to edge at middle 1 7/8
Thickness 5/16
Had to use a ruler, didn't have calipers.

My second ASHBM CG looks to be about the same as first. I'll try to get some calipers tomorrow.

Hey Dwayne,

Here are the measurements for my choiless CG:

Length 11.2"

Width just in front of handle 1.89"

Width midway 1.87"

Thickness 0.32

Are you looking for the measurements for an LE, or regular model? Or maybe both?

Yes! Both! :) As many as I can get please, I want to be able to make these things without worrying again.

Thanks so much for the responses so far! Much appreciated!

I will post caliper measurements tomorrow as David Brown made me a pancake sheath and it would not fit my ASHBM CG. The knife got stuck in the sheath so bad that I contemplated drilling out the rivets because it was NOT coming out of the sheath. David was also confused and said I must have gotten a one of a kind ASBM CG. Maybe there are several. He let me return the sheath. Thanks David! My ASHBM LE is on the way I can measure it too.

Sorry to hear I'm not the only one having issues, seems there are indeed some variations in these knives, like the old days. Looks like I am back to making them with a bit of "slop" again.

Many thanks so far! And please, if anyone else out there is willing to take a pair of calipers to their ASHBM I'd be very much appreciative. :)

Sorry that this has caused you so much grief Dwayne. I suggest that you have the customer send his/her particular blade directly to you for proper fitting.

Feel free to call the shop at anytime to get specs on these blades directly from us. That way you'll know what the original specs are and this should remove any variations caused by sharpening, re-sharpening, or coating choices.

Let's Drink,
