I'd like to have a IWB kydex sheath made for my AD. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Art

I can't belive it took 23 min for one of our local sheath makers to respond to this....

:)

Yeah, usually they're all over anything that's even vaguely related to sheaths.

Were you guys asleep? ;) :D

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......SNORT.......huh? Wha happened???:D :p ;)

Ohh, nothing leatherman. Just go back to sleep.

Oh ok, ............nitey night....SNORE....snurffff...

Just put a little extra length on that sheath , that's a short blade to ride IWB.;)

:D ;) An 8" PBF!! Now THATS an IWB knife!!

These kydex-meisters I recommend:
Eric Noeldechen (On-Scene Tactical) http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/
Brian Wagner (Okuden here on BFC) http://www.okuden.net/
Robert Humelbaugh (Survival Sheath Systems) http://www.survivalsheath.com
Dave Brown (Buy Brown Holsters) http://www.buybrownholsters.com/
Mike Sastre (River City Sheaths) http://www.rivercitysheaths.com/

All these guys do good work. I've used sheaths from Eric (with J-hook belt loop) and Brian (with Blade-Tech Pull-Dot strap) for IWB and they work quite well. I have a shoulder rig from Robert that has seen extended wear with extreme comfort, so I believe in his work as well.

I doubt you'd be disappointed with the quality of work done by any of these craftsmen.

(edited to add) If Andrew Lynch ever goes commercial with his kydex/kevlar combo sheath, I'd add that to the list of candidates as well.

Ok,
now that all the guys who deserve praise have been praised,
LET'S SEE SOME OF YOUR WORK!!!!!
I'd love to see what you guys come up with for the AD! Thanks!

Eric, Brian, David, Jerry, Jennifer, et al,

The thanks should go to you guys for the fine work you make available to us. I always feel really lucky, honored, and blessed to have so many great makers of knives and sheaths to choose among these days. The ranks of the craft's masters have grown greatly since I first got interested in sharp pointy objects back in the early 1960's and the quality of the finished pieces has never been better.

Herr Vervoorst, there are some pictures of Brian Wagner's work in this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=240631 I have a scan of a Badger sheath from him that I'll post after my BFC Gold membership renewal is done processing.

Normark's interesting 3-D camo kydex sheaths are pictured here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=178725 And while we're on 3-D, there are pictures of some David Brown novelty sheaths here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=196151
