Man, I'm racking my brain trying to think of a job where I'd get to carry and use my Basic 9 (or even my SH on a daily basis....

Anybody have any suggestions (serious or otherwise)

I am serious about this. I was thinking some type of oudoor work, but what...

I currently own (all used!)
Basic 9
Straight Handled SteelHeart

ZT NO coming my way today....

Greg::D

As crazy as it sounds, I've wondered about that too. It sure would be cool to get a gig like that! Here's what I've come up with so far:

Armed forces?
Forest ranger
Ranch hand
Outdoors survival teacher
S.W.A.T. team
D.E.A. agent (it'd be handy for chopping down pot plants!)
Hitman :p

Just kidding on the last one! Anyway, I'm curious to see what others will say on this one.

It may not pay well, but you could look for work at your county or town highway department. Those guys spend a lot of time tending road sides. Heck, you could even show off your Busse to everybody who drives by. :D

About 15 years ago I worked at a Nursery(where they raised plants not Kids) and I wish I would've known about Busse then. It was a common occurence for us to have to grub out old trees, trim volunteer trees and weeds around the buildings and in the ditches. I can only imagine how useful the SH would've been.

Look into the Landscaping or Nursery fields, maybe something there you can do and carry your Busse.

Good Luck :D

How about...

Busse Combat product testing, research, and development.
Generous salary, full insurance coverage, a flexible job description, and all the Busse knives you want. :D

Can you imagine a better job than that?

Jerry - please drop me a note if you're still accepting resumes - I might be able to recommend someone ;)

Wulf -- LOL !!! :)

Heh, heh, heh... Methinks thou wouldst waitest in a very long line!
Wouldn't we ALL wish to do this... ;)

i'm a pastor: & i carry my Busse 9+" bladed variant, well, about everywhere...! {they know me well at church! Ha! :D }
It makes counseling go really smoothly.

As a locksmith, i would wish to have known of Busse; would've carried it then.
As a Climbing instructor, would've carried a Busse then, too.
Ah, to use a Busse in the workplace: Good Times, Good times...

I used my new Basic #9 at work today to cut a cantalope for lunch.
The boss came by and simply said "is that necessary" and went on with his business:D
They know I'm a knife nut;)

I think a surveyor would be a good job for a Busse.
They are surveying the property where I work. It's a jungle,
there will be a lot of hacking and whacking. ;)

Where do you live Greg? We are in need of a yard guy in the nursery and one of the perks is afterhours culling of dead and crummy plant material:D

I became a nature photographer primarily because I was looking for a job that allowed me to be outside all of the time and travel a lot.

There are plenty of other options: natural history guide, river-rafting guide, field biologist, trail maintenance crew, climbing instructor....

An then there are choices for jobs that you can do anywhere, and have lots of free time: writer, investor....

There a plenty of options. You can be anything you want to be.

You can always volunteer to maintain trails.

On the east coast you can work on the Appalachian Trail building shelters, clearing trails, etc... They always need help.

How about Custom Kydex Sheath Maker:D ?It is dangerous though burned fingers & cut hands & all:D
