Need a Keyring System

My keyring needs have been expanding lately and I've realized that I no longer want to carry all that bulk of keys at one time. Is there a system out there that will allow me to connect and disconnect different "sets" of keys?

For example, I always need the car/house keys, but when I go to the range I could snap on my gun case keys, when I go to the office I could remove the gun keys and snap on the office keys, etc.

Anyone have anything that works particularly well for them?

I use quick detach connectors for my micra, fingernail clippers and a tiny flashlight. Seems like they would work fine for your needs. You can find them in hardware stores for very reasonable prices.

On a slightly related note, my mother was wanting some keyfobs for her home and work keys, so I made her one out of a monkey fist.

And one out of a star knot.

She keeps her work keys on the star knot, and her home keys on the monkey fist. She can drop her hand in her purse and just grab the knot for the keys she likes. :)

Yes, I know, not related to your needs, but my mom likes her keychains, so nyaaa.

Oh yeah, those pics aren't of the ones I made, just representative samples. The monkey's fist makes a great keychain.

You could put your different key sets on a $1 carabiner, and just take off the rings you don't need.

They're at the bottom of the page under Key Releases. The #707 is widely available in hardware stores and key shops.

I use the one right below that, the 715/717. Each setup comes with a center post with 2 ball detents and two snap on fittings. I bought three of the keychains and put the center posts on the keyrings I carry most, with on of the fittings as well. The rings I carry less often just get the fitting. They've held up really well and I can snap and unsnap as many keyrings as I like.

Found mine at ACE Hardware.

Check anywhere that makes keys. They usually have an assortment of key ring "systems" to choose from. Split rings on a small 'biner works well.

Thanks for the advice. The #707 and #715/717 are just what I need. Appreciate the links, too.
