Need a link for a knife found in magazine

Er, I just happened to "glance" at the June issue of Mr. Hefner's well-loved publication (you know, lots of women wearing bunny suits and . . . not much else ;) ) and I saw in the gear section a knife advertised as a "US Navy MK 1" knife.

Basically, it was a Ka-bar variant, probably a Camillus but I could be wrong, without a top guard and a large pommel or butt. It was also a straight clipped-point, not the curved kind in the other models. The handle also had a a lot more "barrel" shape to it. It's supposedly being sold at Actiongear.com, but I can't seem to find it when I went to their sight. Maybe it got removed already?

I was hoping to have a custom made similar to it. Anyone else seen it? Thanks in advance!

Could it have been Ontario's P3 Army Quartermaster?

Here's a link to the current Navy Mark 1 combat utility knife by Colonial Cutlery Int.

Here is a link to photos of Ontario's Navy Mark 1, Marine Parachutist, and P3 Quartermaster.

Greg

Mighty appreciative for all your suggestions!

I tried surfing and came up with what most of you guys already suggested, even at Ontario's and Ka-bar's websites but couldn't find one EXACTLY like it. There were similar patterns or models but not the real Mccoy so to speak. No wonder, it was Colonial model, one more company that US gov't contracted during WWII (learned something new again). Thanks Ripper for the link!

I believe the Clonial you're referring to came out a few years ago.
5 1/8" black phosphate coated 1/8" 1095 flat ground blade. Black 5 1/8" handle. SMKW was carrying these. Haven't seen one offered in awhile. Seemed like a pretty neat little knife.

Here's one.

Ontario offered at one time and still may a slightly smaller version, 4 3/4" blade. But, 5/32" and satin finished.

Thanks to you too, Averageguy. Yup, that's the same link posted above by Ripper. Great info and initial impressions supplied as well.

Hmmmm. . . maybe I could order from them instead of having one custom made but, ooooopsss, DANG, forgot about shipping costs! :(
