I'm working on updating my knife spreadsheet and I have a column dedicated to handle material.
Can someone here identify my handle materials on the knives below?
Thank you:

Looks like, from top to bottom

Tiger hide micarta
Tan canvas micarta
Tan canvas micarta
Black canvas micarta ( seems to be)

Thank you Jroden5446, yes Black Canvas is the 4th one, I found the email that had the description.
I was wasn't sure if the 2nd and 3rd were both tan micarta because they look so different to me.

Tiger Hide comes in both linen and canvas micarta. Your SJTAC is canvas.

Hey Lisa. The tan canvas really varies depending on when it was made. The older tan canvas is lighter in color, the newer is darker and IMO has a sort of reddish look.

Both of yours I would consider the "newer" tan canvas. Maybe the machining makes it look a little different too.

Also depends how it's heated too. Several years ago when the Terror Monkey Boss Streets were available at KC, the tan micarta was overcooked and they looked white.

How it's heated? I'm pretty sure you put a special glue between layers of material, clamp it down, and let it harden, no heat required.

Where did you get such erroneous information? :D

A pic of micarta being made by a buddy of mine......the closest is a turquoise/teal linen micarta going on a chopper he's making for me.....in A-2 of course.

That isn't accurate. The tan canvas color has always varied.

Hey RF...please feel free to send that to me whenever you get bored with it bro. She's a beauty. Always been a big fan of the roped micarta handles. Not sure why Jerry doesn't do another knife run with them. Green linen roped on them BA3 were beautiful.
