NOT A SALE THREAD( I know where they are supposed to go :) )Hey everyone, I just recently lost my job of 6 years and as a result am going to try to liquidate a rather large knife collection. I am going to start with the handful of Busses that i have, but the problem is, i am not really sure how to price them in the exchange. If you guys could just give me a BALLPARK figure for the following knives so that i could have an idea of where to start in terms of fair pricing, that would be a HUGE help. (sorry, no pics, but i will try to describe them as accurately as possible)

1. a CGFBM with what looks like green linen mags and a somewhat rare Jungle Camo blade. Never used, never sharpened, as new condition. I bought it on the exchange here about 2 years ago for i believe $550. What do you guys think would be a fair starting point?

2. A Mud Razor user. Has been sharpened a couple times on a sharpmaker. Has a small ding in the edge that i was able to sharpen out for the most part. Coating is fairly beat up but the knife overall is about a 90-95%. Includes a desert tan Spec Ops sheath.

3. A VERY lightly used Batac in jungle green with standard black linen handles. Knife is about a 99%. Inludes a black spec ops sheath.

Go to the Busse/Swamp Rat sales forum and see what the average asking price is on similar knives. If you want to move them fast knock that price down by $50 and post them. If they don't move, knock off $10 every two or three days until they sell or they hit a price at which you had rather keep them. They will not go to rock bottom because they will hit a price level where someone who wants them will get very nervous about someone else snagging them first and will thus take them. Good luck.

well to sell here you have to be a gold member so do that first, then you can search the for sale threads and see how much they go for and sold at...
just my two cents

you also need to keep in mind the economy sucks so you can stick by your guns, get what you want but it may take a while, but if you need money asap, you may have to be flexible. Also check the knives wanted list

Sorry, but the Mods will take a dim view of this, as it can be construed as a disguised sale thread, and if anyone gives you price data, then you can theoretically negotiate deals on the side.

Best advice is to invest in a Gold membership. If you will selling off a large number of knives, it will worth it.
