BM 707 sequel or MiniGrip.

I have handled the MiniGrip and I like the feel. I have NOT handled the BM707, but I sure like the looks. It appears to similar and the special edition comes with walnut inlays with a D2 blade

The 707 appears slimmer with a bit of a more "elegant" look.

I prefere blades around 3" with slim profiles. I wear slacks to work and I dont like a big heavy knife in the pocket.

Any other suggestions??

And for some reason, I just cannot warm up to the Spyderco style.

The sequel is a much nicer knife, but not as good a deal. I handled the walnut version a few days ago, and it was very attractive. I think I prefer the g10 insert one though.

I'm not familiar with the 707 but the mini grip is a very light but very nice knife.

I have a BM mini-grip (the sheepsfoot blade with the oval hole) and in my opinion it is the closest thing to the perfect EDC utility blade. I own a lot of knives, but carry this one the most. The plastic handles are very quality feeling, and have stood up to two years of hard work, they have stainless liners which add a lot of rigidity and strength. The blade shape is very utilitarian, a great combination between slicing ability and strength. And of corse, it has the Axis lock (which they both do). If you want something simply because it looks good first, and performs well second, get the 707, but if you want something you use in any occasion, and count on it, get the mini-grip.
