Need a little help picking leather for a folder

Hello,

Im going to try making a sheath for my Spyderco Military but dont know what weight leather I should use. I want it to be molded to the shape of the military so it has a tight fit and some decent retention. If you know of a link or wip for a folding knife sheath please post it.

Check the stickies above for lots of info on folder sheaths by our local master of folder sheaths Gary Graley. :)

The leather you probably want is in the 6/7 or 7/8 ounce weight.
