I have a Kershaw Mini Task, and I have a couple questions: 1. How do you take off the thumb stud... I grabbed it with a pliers and tried to twist it, but it din't move... I'll try again when I get home, this time I'll use a little more power. I am woundering if perhaps it doesn't screw it... Do you know how it is attached?

Also, I can't find allen wrentchs small enough to fit the screws for the clip and for the G-10 handles, they are sooooo small! I went to Menards and tried everything they had, and even a 0.5mm was too big.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

PS, I know taking my knife apart voids the warrenty, but I don't care. So you don't have to bother telling me not to take it apart!

You will probably have to contact Kershaw. They put me in touch with a tool manufacturer
from whom I could order a wrench. You might also have to send that knife into Kershaw for some adjustments also.

What is Kershaws phone number?
Also, The reason for wanting the wrentchs is because I flick the blade open a lot!! and the action is getting a little rough, so I need to get in there and clean it up... I know that I could send it to Kershaw and they could do it, but that takes a number of weeks to get it back to me!! Besides, I take apart my Benchmades all the time, no big deal...
Thanks,

I thought the screws on the Task were torx? You might try a small one like a T-6 or something. I met a guy who changed the thumbstud on his m-task and he said he used a center punch and a hammer to tap it out.

Hope this helps,
Mitch
