Need a little help with this please....

Found a tooth out back while working on one of my projects.. Took it to the vets to see if they could shed some light on what it came from, and the vet was a bit puzzled, and the look on her face said it may be human, but she's pretty sure it's not..

Can someone help me out ??

Hi tuxdad. The root/roots on the tooth look alot like a pigs tooth. Human teeth for the most part have roots 1/2 that size. And there are 6 root extentions on that tooth, so if it was *possibly a human* (doubt it) He/She sure had a malformed mouth. Also the crown of the tooth is not the average 4 point molar or others of Humans. I'm gonna say Pig. Also its not broken off at the top, so it was not a flesh tooth, but a grinder. If you find out otherwise I would like to know! Thanks. edgy :thumbup:
 
I was told by someone else on another forum that it was possibly a pig or bear tooth.. Something about being an omnivore, and the shape of the grinder..
