In 1998, I bought a Kershaw. It was an awesome knife, but I don't remember what it was. I don't have any pictures of it, so, I was wondering if any of your Kershaw Detectives might be willing to help me out.

It had an aluminum frame, with black rubber inserts, and 3"-ish blade, black plastic thumbstuds, and was extremely fast to open. A drop point blade, and a pocket clip.

That's really about all I can remember, and I have poured through tons of photos of Kershaws, but I can't seem to find it.

Also, if there is a place where I can view discontinued models, I would love to know.

I bought this one as a work knife, along with a Lansky Sharpener, and a Kershaw Amphibian (freakin' great blade BTW) at the same time. Not sure what happened to it, but 3 things stand out immediately, 1) the folks at the Statue of Liberty thought it was a switchblade, that's how fast it was, 2) it cut me something fierce when I screwed up stripping out some 750 KcMil wire 3) it was a perfect "utility" blade.

Thanks for any help, it is most appreciated.

Kershaw Liner Action?

Damn, you are the man. Mine was sans serrations, but that is the one.

Wow, bringin' back the memories just seein' it.

Me and that blade had a 2 yr relationship, that ended with me not knowing what the hell happened to it. What a blade, and also my first Kershaw, my second with the Amphibian.

That Amphibian was the knife I had for when I was living on the coast, we done alot of spear fishing, flounder giggin', and snorkeling.

Ah, memories.

Thank you for the help, it is most appreciated.

I've seen other models that I want more. I appreciate the heads up, but its nice to know that they are still around.

My coworker has one. It's what got me into Kershaw.

Me too. Me and a guy from work needed a new knife, he was fresh out of the Marines, and I mean fresh, still had the hair on his shirt from his last cut before leaving post. :D

We hit the local steel brokers spot, I saw the Kershaw, I had never seen a Lansky before, and as soon as I saw that Amphibian, I knew I had to have it. So, that was my buy.

Mr. Marine, got himself a CS Voyager, tanto. We spend nearly the same amount of money. Even when I sliced my fore finger all the way down, the entire length, I was still in love. It was so sharp, all I did was wrap it in electrical tape. Two weeks later, I unwrapped it, and there was a thin white line where a huge laceration had been.

I don't think the Marine was as happy as my purchase. :D

I just did a quick count of my Kershaw/ZT's, I am sitting on 7 now, 303, 300, 350, Rake, Skyline, Chive, an OD.

More to come. :D

I may have one of those floating around. If you want it, I'll send it your way.

ive got one that belonged to my dad. he had a grinder wheel explode on him and a huge chunk hit him in the thigh.the kershaw was between his leg and the shrapnel and took all the force of it with no more than a small scratch on the handle.awesome blade.
