Without pictures who knows?New guy here, I recently acquired a knife collection that I know very little about. One of the knives is a Schrade 1982 NKCA Trapper. It does not have the typical etching on the blade and no numbers. Is it the real deal or not.
Likely going to need pictures of the entire knife and closeups of any markings.New guy here, I recently acquired a knife collection that I know very little about. One of the knives is a Schrade 1982 NKCA Trapper. It does not have the typical etching on the blade and no numbers. Is it the real deal or not.
There were a lot of knives made for the 1982 NKCA Club Knife. It was a 10,000 piece order. 2 blade Schrade trapper pattern in stag. Front side has round NKCA shield. The front side bolster should be serialized. Clip blade is etched. Brass pins and liners, stainless blades. 3 7/8 inch closed. You should be able to tell from that description if your knife matches all the specs. I can't imagine anyone faking a 1982 Schrade knife that has 10,000 examples floating around. You can find them for sale all day every day on the internet. But I'm sure there was an overrun of some knives. Schrade also could have sold the same pattern themselves without the NKCA etch/shield.
