I stopped in my local B&M this afternoon and was surprised to see a small Busse in his case for $70. I bought it and now I have a problem, I don't know what the heck I bought. Maybe you guys can help me out.

It's a small knife (3in blade) with a cord wrapped handle. The blade is sterile and there are no markings of any kind on the handle. I don't have a digital camera, so no pics. Any ideas?

Thanks.:)

Is the handle wrap yellow and black? If so, it's likely a Killer Bee, anyone else care to offer input?

If anyone really wants a pic they could pm me their cell number and I could send them a pic that way. Any takers?

Does it have a talon hole? Could also be an apprentice knife. Hard to say without pics.

Check out this page at badmojo and see if you can find a match.

If it's the one in the last three pics.......I'LL TAKE IT! ;) .......shoot me a PM/email.

As posted before, whatever it may be..... for $70 you got a good deal me thinks :D

Edit: Sounds like it's an apprentice knife.

The blade shape and finish are similar, but mine has the cord wrapped handle.

It's an apprentice knife, identified by the missing talon hole. Very few have been seen with slabs; most are plain or have a simple wrap.
Probably made from 5160, but it could be A2.

Great find!!!!!

Keep it! If not, sell it to me. :D

Basicly, before getting to grind the production knives, the Busse guys practice grinding and making knives until they're ready to step up to the production models, (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) Not having a talon hole is a pretty good indicator it's an apprentice knife. Steel could be as RVO3VOM pointed out.
