Some pos stole my griptillian so I need a new knife. I run a steel erection crew so I'm cutting plastic bands, cardboard, insulation, sometimes wood. Nothing too crazy but it's often. I'd like something that's pretty nice but not something that other people will see and think wow I need paid more. Price range is 100-300

The Spyderco Gayle Bradley 2 in CPM Cru-Wear would be a great knife. Cru-Wear is a tough steel, holds a good edge and is relatively stain resistant. Right in the middle of your price range.

The Shaman would be another knife that could take some hard daily use.

Spyderco Manix 2 lightweight, and they come in a bunch of steels, so you pick whichever steel you'd want for the tasks.

Another option might be the Demko AD 20 versions in a tool steel like 3V or Cru-Wear. At the price range you'd be looking at the ones made to their spec overseas.

They get good reviews but I only have one made in their shop at a higher price point. The "shark lock" is great.

The GB2 is a good recommendation, or the Hogue Ritter RSK if you miss your Griptilian. It's hard to tell which one can take more abuse.

The Spyderco Military is the best I have ever used with gloves and is my all time favorite folder. As long as you are using it for cutting stuff and not prying or really twisting the blade its durable

I also second the Gayle Bradley 2 in Cru-wear but its a little more difficult to open and close with gloves.

I think the Spyderco Shaman is probably also a good choice as its a bit of a thicker blade stock

If you liked the Griptilian I’d go for a Benchmade Freek or Mini-Freek. Definitely an upgrade from the Griptilian and in your price range.

Cheers
Mac
