Hi. I'm looking for a new EDC multitool. I have a Gerber dime but it lacks a bit on quality. The size is great. And no Leatherman. Have the Squirt PS4. And the file is broken.

Thing I need on it:
A blade
Pliers
Screwdriver
Mayde a pair of scissors

Thanks.

Victorinox Mechanic - 3.5", 3 layers, no scissors
Victorinox Deluxe Tinker - 3.5", 4 layers
Victorinox Cybertool 34 - 3.5", 5 layers
Wenger Evo S557 - 3.5", 5 layers
Victorinox SwissTool Spirit - 4.5" multi-tool
SOG PowerAssist - 4.5" multi-tool
SOG PowerLock - 4.5" multi-tool

You said no Leatherman but I have to add another vote for the Juice series...especially S2. Pliers, blade, scissors and drivers. not too many tools but enough.

Send the broken LM to the factory and they will repair/replace it. I had broken pliers on a PS4 and it was replaced in less than a week. all it cost me was the postage to mail it.

I shall have a look at the Juice S2. I work at Voctorinox so I have allmost all of them.

like fatcat 55 send it off in the post to leatherman and they will replace or repair it for you
here is a threat about there warrenty service

also the squirt is the keychain size so it would not be the toughest leatherman but as its so small it should not cost much to post :)

SOG Powerlock EOD

I'm on my 3rd powelock, keep losing them... but I've used them enough to know that they will not break, are useful a hell and are very good quality.

Unless the weight or size bothers you they are fantastic and the warranty/cs is excellent.

I looked at few reviews on youtube about the Juise S2 and in a lot of reviews they say the scissors are a bit crappy. Al lot of play and wiggle between the blades. They size I think will be perfect.

Yeah, but I will tell you that I have 4-5 Juices and have never had a problem with the scissors. Remember, the Juice line have a few different models and not made for cutting real heavy duty material.

Check out other models with scissors and see what they say like the CS4 or XE6. Good luck!

Another Juice S2 vote. The scissors on mine are fine and have been used often. Since scissors don't seem to be a priority to you based on your OP I wouldn't be too concerned.

Juice S2 or if you can live without scissors, the Skeletool is excellent: reasonably light, compact, excellent one-hand opening blade, bit driver that allows you to carry two drivers that you use most (and additional driver bits can be bought for cheap and kept nearby), and nice medium-sized pliers round out the package. The pocket clip is slim but allows the tool to ride low and safe. I keep mine clipped to my back left pocket and I pretty much forget it's there; it doesn't even get in the way when I'm sitting.

If you can live without the exchangeable driver bits and lack of pocket clip, the Juice S2 is wonderful. Lots of utility in an extremely compact form factor. I don't know if folks' expectations are too high in regards to the scissors, but mine have been holding up beautifully and they lock up just like new. No wiggle, no play and they cut paper, tape, string, and other small materials fine. I wouldn't risk it cutting through baling wire, but that's what the pliers are for, anyway. This one is bigger than your PS4 but really, not by much. I was pleasantly surprised by its size and weight after coming from a Squirt P4.

Other than those, I'd recommend a Victorinox SAK Deluxe Tinker; a little "chunky" feeling, but really useful and built to last. I'd also suggest picking up another Squirt. I own 3 and I've never broken a file. Use it lightly (as intended with a tool of its small size and build) and it should last you forever. If the file broke on mine, I'd honestly either exchange it via warranty or just buy another; I like it that much.

I was given a Leatherman Juice CS4 for Christmas and I've carried it every day since. I absolutely love it! I think the S2 is a far more popular model, but the whole Juice line is worth a good look in my opinion.

Why would you want anything other than what Victorinox makes? You can't get better. The SwissTool is so much better than any of the Leathermans in so many different ways.

I had a Juice s2 for a little bit. The scissors couldn't cut air, but those damn flat screwdrivers did a good job at cutting and stabbing me every time I tried to deploy them. The Vic Spirit is a great tool, probably the best out there. For a light duty pocket tool, I also like the Gerber Balance. Build quality is excellent, the scissors are excellent as well, as should be expected from a Fiskars-owned company. Good light duty pliers as well, just as good as those on the Juice.

As long as one doesn't mind the weight. For me, the SwissTool is way too heavy to carry at all times. Considering Ruudr is coming from a Leatherman Squirt and Gerber Dime, the SwissTool is probably gonna feel like a lead weight by comparison!

The Swisstool Spirit is a good tool, not too heavy, but the scissors are small, and there's a lot more tools in it than are mentioned in the OP.

If you want to keep it minimal, there is a discontinued Leatherman tool, the Mini... just small sturdy pliers, a small blade, can/bottle openers in the handles, and a screw driver. The Mini-tool is not too hard to find on the used market

I have both the Tool and the Spirit, but these are to heavy. I'm looking for something smaller.
