Hi, i'm looking for a knife to give my sister for christmas. She mainly needs a knife for hunting and edc purposes. I'm looking for something with a 2" - 4" blade and not too expensive, <$40. So far the Byrd Raven, Benchmade Pika, or one the Kabar Dozier folders are looking like good choices. What do you guys think?

You already named a fair number of the usual suspects.
You might add Spyderco Native. It goes for around $40. I usually EDC one and am really pleased with it.
Benchmade just came out with a Vex. It also is around $40 and people are saying good things about it. There are a couple of current threads on it with pictures that you might look at.

Storm II from Kershaw for around $30. Not sure how big she would want to go, maybe the Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter for around $50. The little T Mag by Spyderco looks like a great blade for hunters but I'm not sure what they cost either. However, lots of folks use a Delica for their small game. I sharpen several right before every hunting season usually.
