Hey guys,

I have always thrown coldsteel sure flight and proflight series as they are so damn cheap, so well made, the material last forever, and they were availble everywhere (I use to buy them off ebay cuz they were so friggen cheap! 3 could be had for like 25 bucks). Now they have stopped that series and came out with their new series which is 3X the cost as the old one with no real upgrades other then that it looks weird (the middle part buldges out) so I'm looking for another source of good cheap throwing knifes. It's hard to find anything on ebay in the 12-16 inch range with a weight of 8-10 oz. Anyone know of a source for throw knifes.

The only real option i see now is going with the cs trueflight series. 60 bucks for 3 throwing knifes... ouch. Plus I want more like a set of 6-12 knifes for my next set. I also wanted to pick up a set for a friend of mines.

I have the same problem--except I learned using a Gerber Prodigy--that's 50 bucks a knife..(or more). I've been trying out flea-market throwers. No luck. Too light & short.
Try on youtube, there are quite a few videos about throwing-knives, and a couple of videos have throwing-knife makers website info. They were decently priced and forged steel too. (Too big for me. 10 in. overall in my limit.) Maybe try BudK.com? They have throwers. Cheap ones. Good luck.
