Hi everyone. I'm new here (this is my first post) and I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions. So because of my stupidity and lapse of attention, I lost my favorite knife, a Kershaw Tremor, to TSA. I realized that I still had it about 3 min after checking my luggage at the airport. So, as I mentioned, I liked the tremor a lot, but it wasn't perfect by any means. I have been looking for a new one for a while but just couldn't justify it with my trusty tremor by my side.
Here is what I'm looking for in a blade. First, and most importantly, It must be assisted opening (I would go with auto if only it was legal here
). Second, I liked the size and weight of my Tremor so I'm looking similar. Now what I would like improved on it are, I would like jimping(sp?) on the top part of the blade, and a more aggressive flipper/finger guard for a more secure grip. Lastly, I would like a fold over "Deep Cover" style pocket clip. I don't have and real preference in steel, however I am fairly rough on my knives (Boxes, very occasional rope, etc.) so it should have decent edge retention, however, this wont be an outdoor survival knife (at least not intentionally lol) so it wont be going up against branches and wood and such. I have seen several I like, including ZT 0560 and Combative Edge M1 but can't, for the life of me, figure out why they don't have an assisted opening.
If you guys can give me some options you know of, I would really appreciate it. price cap if $250 for a REALLY great knife, but would otherwise like to stay in the $100-150 range.
Thanks
